A Thank You!
Our thanks to everyone who attended the recent BBQ Dinner and Pie Auction, sponsored by the Pea Ridge High School Alumni Association, and held on Saturday, April 20, at the Middle School Cafeteria.
The Dinner and Pie Auction were both outstanding successes. We appreciate the contributions of those who baked pies, cookies and other baked goods, and those who came out for the meal and joined in the vigorous bidding on the pies. Our thanks, too, to Reldon Bray, our BBQ caterer, and to Jerry Fitzner, the auctioneer, for helping make both events entertaining and delectable.
The money raised by the dinner and pie auction support the Alumni Scholarship Program, which this year will grant eight graduating PRHS Seniors with $1,000 scholarships to help in their first year of college. Since the inception of the Alumni Association in 2007, the scholarship program has steadily increased the number of grants each year. We are very grateful for the sup port of friends throughout the community.
