CLUB NEWS: Granny’s Quilts of Love

— Granny’s Quilts of Love met at 9:30 a.m. July 17, at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge. There were 17 members present and one guest, Marcia Graham.

The total number of quilts made is 13,725.

Plans for our upcoming annual dinner and auction are going well.

The dinner and auction will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Aug.

25, at the Pea Ridge High School, with the auctionstarting at 6:30 p.m. Price is adults $6 and kids $4 - kids 2 and under free.

The dinner will be pulled pork sandwich with baked beans, coleslaw, chips, pickle, homemade dessert and drink. There will be hot dogs for the kids. There will also be a drawing for a Frigidaire 26 cubic feet refrigerator/freeezer, sideby-side in stainless steel and 59” Samsung HD 1080P Plasma Flatscreen TV. Raffle tickets will be sold for these two items. The raffletickets will be $1 each or 6 for $5. Tickets will be for sale at Arvest Bank in Pea Ridge and also at the door.

Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.

The next meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 15, at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge. This will be the last meeting to finalize plans for the dinner and auction, so it is important to attend.
